PROPHET ADAM 
LESSON 1
MANKIND: A NEW CREATION
Narrated Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari: that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed Allah Most High created Adam from a handful that He took from all of the earth. So the children of Adam come in according with the earth, some of them come red, and white and black, and between that, and the thin, the thick, the filthy, and the clean." [Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2955]
ALLAH CREATES MANKIND...
Allah created a new creation called MANKIND, but the angels were worried that they would cause mischief/ trouble upon the earth.
Adam was the first man created by Allah with His own hands, breathed into him the soul which he had created and taught him all the names of the creation.
Allah created Adam with soil from different parts of the earth and he moulded him from clay. Amongst the colour of the soil used were white, black, red and other colours.
After Allah blew life into Adam , the Angels and Iblis who were among them were commanded to prostrate to Adam by Allah.
IBLIS REFUSES TO OBEY...
The Angels prostrated themselves but Iblis (Shaytaan/Satan) DID NOT, he refused.
Iblis was JEALOUS & ARROGANT and became of the disbelievers. When asked why he refused to prostrate, Iblis declared his arrogance and that he was better than Adam . He did not only disobey Allah by not prostrating when commanded to but also attempted to justify his disobedience by declaring that he was more superior.
Iblis is a Jinn, a different creation from mankind and the Angels. Jinn were created from a smokeless fire, Angels from light and mankind were created from clay/soil.
Iblis asked for respite until the LAST DAY (day of resurrection) and sought to harm mankind from all angels and mislead them except for a few due to the extreme hate he had for mankind.
Allah granted Iblis his request but he will abide in Hell together with those who follow him from humans and jinns.
